moving to chest

I recently did a virus scan and found some viruses. When I tried to put them in the chest it said that there wasn’t enough room on the disk, the disk is full. I thought the chest was a file not a disk. Please help me out here!!!

The chest is basically a folder in avast! installation directory, containing the items in encrypted form. Anyway, be it a file or folder, it has to be stored somewhere… on your disk.
In program settings, there’s also an option to limit the maximum size of the Chest. If this limit is exceeded, I believe you get exactly the same error messgae (not enough room) - so you may want to check this setting.

If you start avast Chest, how many files are stored there?
(or, which is the same, if you go to avast4/data/chest folder, which is the total size of this folder)?

Welcome to the forums, mss68.

You may also need to clean up your computer’s hard drive. With time, it will fill up with junk files. :frowning:

But, as mentioned by the others above, we need more information in order to help you. (OS, harddrive size & free space, the info asked for above, etc.)
