MS Outlook 2013 64 bit and Avast 64 bit crashes

Avast 7.0 64 bit (free version) causes Outlook 2013 (build 15.0.44.20.2017) 64 bit to crash when sending or replying to email. The temporary fix is to turn of the Mail Real Time shield. Looking forward to the update 8). RikTat on Twitter if you have questions.
P.S. - the fix was hard to find

Same problem with 32bit Outlook 2013 (final version) in Windows 7 64bit. Are you ever gonna fix this?

What version of Avast,do you use, latest version is 7.0.1474.

Yep using 7.0.1474. Licensed IS version.

Same Here. Im a graphics designer, and i need the email to work and be scanned so my expensive pc is protected. my Avast IS is licensed its 64bit 7.0.1474 running on a windows 7 64bit Home premium. ANd my Outlook is brand new still on trial 2013. Please we need an update to fix this. Imagine a graphics guy not able to attach a jpeg. Its a headache to have to torn of mail plugin and risk the computer. If it takes long to fix this issue. I wont be renewing my subscription to avast. Minor bugs are ok but bugs like a freeze for any attachment and auto restart is horrible for the workplace.

Seriously guys… how is this not fixed?

Have users who use clients installed on the PC, such as Outlook, for example, very popular in enterprise networks, can be sending messages blocked if they use software configuration port 25 to trigger email.

Who has the old configuration and is affected by the problem, you should go to the tab “Settings e-mail” from your electronic messaging program and select “exit door”. In this field, you need to replace the number 25 by 587.

This should all hopefully be settled once avast!8 is released.

Thanks, good to hear.

I turned off “outbound message” scanning only and it fixed the problem…

This is still happening to me, do I have to leave outbound scan for ever ???
