Have had the MSBlaster worm for six months. Have used every anti-virus program on the web including avast Virus Cleaner. Have formatted and installed WindowsXP over a dozen times. The KB823980-x86-Enu Patch is the only thing able to keep it off the computer. I think the only way is to replace the the hard drive.
