MSI packages won't build

After multiple failures trying to get automatic deployment to work, I decided to try building MSI packages for my Vista and Win7 clients. The task/session runs for a little while (a couple of minutes?) and reports that it completed, but I can’t find any trace of the .MSI file anywhere on the local machine or a network share that I tried to designate as the package destination in one attempt.

How do I troubleshoot the MSI build process?
Am I required to let Avast specify the local Management Tools folder for the path and name?

I had a similar problem. Problem was that I never added the file name after the path.
e.g. “c:\install\client” where it should have been “c:\install\client\installer.msi”.
