msn and yahoo messenger blocked

Hi. Im new here. I just downloaded AVAST…
And… now I can not open msn and yahoo messenger. I am so disappointed.
Also, Malware bytes anti malware program is not working either.

My firewall is just windows and no other program.
Windows firewall allows msn, ym, and mbm.

Please help.

Have you ever had Norton/Symantec or any other AV or firewall on your computer?

do you have allowed avast too ?

zoren, if you disable the IM provider and, if it does not work, disable WebShield, will avast and other programs work?
