Hi all… I am new here… would be really grateful if someone can help me…
Im really worried as both my laptop and computer is infected with msupdte.exe - what i researched as a trojan backdoor.
I have tried running sdfix but when i double clicked on runthis.bat the window flashes on then off again before i could type anything. Anyone can provide me with another solution? I’ve ran MBAM and a new hijackthis log.

You did a good job using MBAM. But you could’ve tried SuperAntiSpyware as well.
First, You need uninstall symantec with the Norton Uninstall Tool and install avast!
Plus your java is several levels off. Please uninstall the old version and install the latest version of here .
To be sure your softwares are up to date, download Secunia Software Inspector .

I don’t see that your a avast user but your asking for help in avast forum. :-*
Didn’t Norton detect this virus?
Seems you should have sent it to quarantine… Why is it returning?
I suggest:
Disable System Restore and then reenable it again.
Clean your temporary files.
Schedule a boot time scanning with avast with archive scanning turned on. If avast does not detect it, you can try DrWeb CureIT! instead.
Use SUPERantispyware , MBAM or Spyware Terminator to scan for spywares and trojans. If any infection is detected, better and safer is send the file to Quarantine than to simple delete than.
Test your machine with anti-rootkit applications . I suggest avast! antirootkit or Trend Micro RootkitBuster .
Make a HijackThis log to post here or, better, submit the RunScanner log to to on-line analysis.
Immunize your system with SpywareBlaster or Windows Advanced Care .
Check if you have insecure applications with Secunia Software Inspector .
