Multi-AMS locations..... Avast says I can't do it!!! Please HELP

I was told when I got Avast, using the ADNM, I could do a multi-AMS scenario with a location looking towards a root AMS location. I even went as far to make sure that two locations both were installed with MSDE. It would be great to manage the computers from 1 location, not all locations. PLEASE give me some thoughts.

Here is what Avast Support told me… “I understand but unfortunately with recent version of ADNM Multi-AMS model is no available. We hope there will be fix for it in future but there is no planned new release of ADNM.”

Amy I screwed?

thats what avast support told you??? lol

first of all:
you can have a root AMS server and leaf servers that check the root server for updates…

however to controll the AMS servers you have to login to them individually :S ADNM is not matured yet for nice features like that…

right now there is a new version of ADNM in devellopment called Small Business Console.
We dont know when it will come out (supposed to be around this time really) and what the features will be
all we know is that it will be based on Silverlight.
so actually there is a new release coming for ADNM…

I guess maybe I said that wrong… What I would like to do, from 1 interface, is to see all of the computers at a glance with avast installed and any reports. I don’t need to “control” the machines.

I keep getting errors when I connect a leaf AMS to a root AMS. Even tried with both having MSDE installed. The leaf connects just fine… It’s when on the root AMS, I run a replication process that I get an error about @job_ID or @job_name. And I did follow the book through setting up the multi-AMS.

I’m kinda disappointed with this. I’ve been a free/home user for years and have put this onto several people’s computers in the past. But, now with a few businesses, I have to go with the paid versions…

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Tim
