Multible malware-gen found

Hey

I ran quick avast scan and boot-time scans, they found 8 and 10 so total of 18 malware-gen viruses. Problem here was that I was unable to move them to avast virus chest or guarantine as first time avast said that virus chest was not available and during boot-time scan I was also unable to use quarantine as it said something that draft/print is not valid. So I had to delete them all. Also computer re-started itself during quick scan so it may not have run it completely. aswmbr crashed twice during scan so I could not attach that file. I also attached pic from avast results as example from deleted ones.

So could you check if theres something suspious left? + why I could not use virust chest?

Those are all false positives swsetup is where new drivers are unpacked prior to install and windowsold is an old installation of windows still on your computer.

Unfortunately no I have no idea on this one. I will forward to the Avast boys and see if they know

How large were the files and what was the setting as to the size of the Virus Chest ???

Larger then (I’m assuming) his default settings.Keep in mind, they there unpacked Driver Files.

Hey,

I don’t know size of those files as there is no more files in some of those folders. Other folders have really small files and some larger ones so can’t really point out that way.

Virus chest have these settings on:
Max size of chest 256 MB
Max size of file to be sent 16384 MB

So obviously you can’t add these files to the virus chest unless you increase the size of the chest.
