Multiple attempts to create a rescue disk are failing. All suggested options were tried

The create process starts and runs for 15 seconds and stops at 14% completed. All options suggested by Avast were tried and all failed. Others have reported the problem. This problem started 2 weeks ago. I am using the must current version of Avast. Will the next update to Avast Free fix the problem ???

First, I’m an Avast user and not an Avast Team member.

There isn’t a great deal to work with here as:

  1. we don’t know what ‘all’ encompasses or
  2. what error message/s you are getting or
  3. what OS you are using.
  4. or what Avast suggested.

I’m just going to try it on my Windows 10 system, so I may be gone for some time.

OK, finally finished the creation of a Recovery drive on this Windows 10 and Avast Antivirus Free - whilst it took well over two hours it completed with success.

As you can see from this screenshot, I pretty much closed unessential programs, but Avast remained running as you can see from the screenshot and no error messages.

I was able to create a .iso and also a rescue USB from Avast Free v25.9. It does take a long time and one of the interim stages is at 14%.
Maybe there has been a slowdown at the server end since I did mine.
