My laptop caught a bug and ended up needing a system restore by the pros. At one point, I was running Avast, but it got wiped out during the restore. I redownloaded it and registered (free version). Now the PC is listed with 2 names, the old and the new. How can I merge the two or delete the old and keep the new? It’s the same laptop…
Go to the Account Tab in the avastUI, you should see your devices listed there. You can’t merge them delete the old one.
You should see the Devices listed select the old one (possibly in the My Other Devices - click on the old one and you will be shown information on that - to the right there are some icons, click the Screwdriver & wrench icon. Here you will see an option to Delete From Account.
