Music Folder Disappeared After Full System Scan

Hello, I ran Avast! Free Antivirus 5.1.889 Full system scan and it found a few infected items and knowing the reputation of Avast and my own experience, deleting the infected files was the best decision in order to defend my computer from any viruses. So once it finished deleting the infected files it also asked me to do a Boot Up Scan and I waited until it finished and everything seemed to be perfect until I found out that my D:\Music folder disappeared. This is a crucial folder for me because I love music and apparently, the files are still in my D:\ because the Hard Drive space hasn’t decreased, so it has to be in my D:\ drive still and I just don’t know how to access them since there is no folder or any way for me to search it. I tried to do a system search for any songs and they don’t show up anymore and nor does the music folder. I noticed it once I opened my iTunes and tried to play a song, it said “The song “blah blah blah” cold not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it?” I would love to locate it but I don’t know how to get my D:\ drive to make the Music folder visible again because Avast did something to it, all the other files that I’ve had in the D:\ drive are still in there too, untouched. It just chose to remove the most crucial folder I need in my life, any help would be great! I am currently running Windows 7, if you need more specifications to help me please reply with what is needed in order to help me resolve my issue. Oh, I also think it’s worth mentioning that every single time I restart my computer now ever since I’ve ran a Full System Scan with Avast! that it always asks me to Start Normally or Repair but the screen blinks so fast that it automatically chooses Normally.

Can you still explorer the drive?
Are the infected files deleted or in the chest?
If they are, restore them from there.

If not…
If the files still on the drive and in good order, you can try a fixmbr
If that fails you can try Handy Recovery (freeware)

If everything fails, there are companies that can restore lost data.

I hope you have learned a lesson that everyone should learn.
Yes, I (as many others) also have learned it the hard way.
Always have a recent backup of the entire system.
Easiest is to create a full backup of a working system and from than on make a incremental backup (let’s say) once a week.
