My avast 4.8 in trouble. Can u help me?

Monday ago 19 May 2008 I was updating my avast 4.8 (program update) and need a reboot so I did it. Suddenly it can’t be loaded on startup with this message:

ashDisp.exe - entry point not found
the procedure entry point ConvertNtPathToDosPath could not be located in the dynamic link library aswCmnS.dll

Can you tell me what happen to my avast? What can I do to fix it?

If repair doesn’t help then you need to uninstall avast and reinstall.
