I’m not sure how the use of the schools network might impact in the autoupdate as I assume you have to log on to the network and if the autoupdate would start as there theoretically wouldn’t be a connection until you are logged on to the schools network.
Program Settings, Update (Connections) I would try a couple of combinations, first with both options unchecked as technically you aren’t permanently connected or on dial-up, next try with just the permanently connected option checked.
the school network is LAN and very fast. and if i set the UpdatePeriod as 30 minutes, after 30 minutes avast will check again. and that time after 30 minutes there already conneted right? but avast no responding. these days i connect internet 12 hours a day. do i need to check “My computer is permanently conneted to the Internet” this option?
The update period isn’t particularly relevant as avast will always check for the first time when a connection is detected. In the Home version the update period would normally be ignored when it is under 120 minutes, but I see no reason to reduce it below the 240 minute default.
If you connection depends on your school’s LAN connection you have to be logged in, what other security does your school’s LAN have do you have to connect through a VPN or does it also use a proxy ?
If so you need to set them and avast to be able to work together. I’m afraid I can’t be any help with that as I don’t use a network/LAN.
Fixed i checked “Update[connections]->My computer is permanently connected to the Internet” yesterday,
and today morning i turn on my computer there is a popup message and have a sound said virus data base has been updated
hahaha thank you , thanks
