any news for me guys, i sent you the files you asked for

There has just been a new program update released now version 4.8.1282, the normal cycle is that some time in the next 7 days (balances the server download) you would get notified of the availability of the update.

I don’t know if Forejt would feel you should stick with the version you have to try and find the problem, but you would have a limited time (the 7 day cycle) frame. Personally I have always been of the opinion that there is little value chasing a problem in an old version.

So I would suggest a clean install of the latest version and see if that resolves the problem, if not then at least we are trying to resolve a problem on the current version.

Download the latest version of avast http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-home.html and save it to your HDD, somewhere you can find it again. Use that when you reinstall.

Download the avast! Uninstall Utility, find it here and save it to your HDD.

  1. Now uninstall (using add remove programs, if you can’t do that start from the next step), reboot.
  2. run the avast! Uninstall Utility, reboot. If step 1 failed it may be necessary to run this from safe mode, once complete reboot into normal mode.
  3. install the latest version, reboot.
