I still have the blank window come up when the internet connects and cant get rid of it and my shut down is paused by a window that says windows is waiting for a background service to stop and a button offers force close when pressed shut down then proceeds

Are you able to access other web pages quite happily ?

Warning This fix is only relevant for this system and no other, using on another computer may cause problems

Be advised that when the fix commences it will shut down all running processes and you may lose the desktop and icons, they will return on reboot
