My computer is going very slowly

Hello,

My computer work very slowly. My internet connection work very goed.
Ik get messages from my antivirus that my computer work very slowly and ask me for my license. I’ve checked several times my avast and every thing is working all right. Sometimes i get also a message from Grime fighter saying also that my computer work slowly and asking also for my license.
I have this problem several weeks yet.
I also checked my computer for other antivirus but i can’n find anyone, only Avast Pro Antivirus. My license is running till 29th of july 2015.

Try using CCleaner to clean your temp files and registry.

edit: Don’t forget to backup your registry when CCleaner asks.

Thanks, I am using Cleaner but do not help.
Do you have other ideas?

Pondus and Para-Noid… What does cleaning temp files and checking for viruses have to do with his AV asking him for his license?

so removing any crapware with Malwarebytes, and check frst diagostic logs to find out what next step is

Obviously if he has a license and it keeps asking for his license, there is something corrupt in his AV installation which is making his computer run slowly.

I’d say first step is asking was his computer running slowly prior to his AV all of a sudden asking for his license which the answer would be no that’s why he’s posting because he notices a difference. Ergo, there is something wrong with his AV installation.

Uninstall and reinstall.

It doesn’t matter if the OP’s machine was fast or slow before installing avast. What matters is that it’s running slow now.
The OP should follow the advice Pondus gave. There is something below the surface causing the slow-down. I agree
with Pondus in that it’s best to know what “isn’t” the issue to find out what “is” the issue.

Save you the boring details; make sure you have enough memory, that was my problem on several occasions. What worked before stopped working as more software got loaded. Most people try doing a clean install to get rid of it. Your friends are google search, wikipedia, the program CPUID, if you want to buy more memory. At work I added more memory, at home I just bought another computer, again, long story.

You can see how your computer is doing concerning memory with the Windows Task Manager.

Yea, mine is too. Avast, Avast Premier that is, says it can clean up what’s making my computer running slowly. The funny thing is, IT’S AVAST THAT’S MAKING MY COMPUTER RUN SLOW!!! Especially upon start up.

Personally, and I admit, I’ve said this before but stupidly tried Avast again and gave them another shot. But not this time. When my current subscription runs out, I’m dumping Avast and I’ll tell everyone I can to stay the hell away from it.

I mean, it seems everything wrong with my computer, all started with and ends with Avast. And the funny thing is, every time something happens, I get a pop up from Avast saying it can fix whatever only to find when I click on the Avast thing that popped up saying it can fix it, it’s only Avast trying to sell me what I need.

I’m done with Avast IT SUCKS!!!
