My computer is slow I would like a check on it please

hI when I startup my computer or reboot it it is slow to bootup. I am not really sure that on Tuesday the windows updates were not configured correctly so windows Vista reverted the changes back and then windows reconfigured the windows updates again. I thought that maybe avast free was to blame for my computer going slow so I disabled the shields for 10 minutes to see if that was the issue for my computer for being slow. So I went to a few websites and they loaded right away no issues at all. I did run a full and quickscan with avast free and no threats were detected. I also ran a scan with malwarebytes free and it did not find any issues at all. So what I would like to do now is someone to find out for me if my computer is free of viruses or malware just in case their is something on my computer I just would like it checked please.

I am unsure if something is wrong with my computr and that is why I would greatly appracate it if someone could check the logs for me pleae.

thanks.

Diddy you have run your scans and all was clean, you cant just keep wasting the time of the helpful members here every time you have some little quibble, there are many online scanners out there on the net so please use Google and start learning how to do some investigating on your own and when you have or run into a real problem then the experts will still be here to help but you have to start learning to help yourself.

Slow boot? My general advices:

  1. Check if you have/need huge boot impact programs, the ones who load drivers at very beginning like other antimalwares or the firewall, any proxy or network tool.
  2. Disable all the non Microsoft services or, better, set them to manual start or, at least, automatic delayed.
  3. Defrag the disk (although I think it is more or less a myth…).
  4. Test if the option to delay avast! services loading to after all system services help (Troubleshooting tab of avast! settings).

Thanks GraigB for the advice. Thanks everyone for your help
