MY COMPUTER

As the heading implies, I am working from MY COMPUTER! NO ONE has the right to make ANY changes, to ANY programs without MY AUTHORIZATION! Who doesn’t understand this? Apparently Avast does not! Who told you have the right to change the settings on MY COMPUTER so that “This Connection is Untrusted” is displayed on every F****** web site I go to? I have had it with your Bull S*** and I’m calling my lawyer!

You will be hearing from them!

By installing avast you agreed to the terms.
That means you gave avast permission to change things so it can protect your system.
Besides, you can disable the warning.
Not advised, but it can be done.

Expletives apart the best option is uninstall Avast and get something else. Or you can tell us exactly what the problem is and we will try to help

Either which your choice

  1. What and how did avast change your computer settings?
  2. Do you really think a lawyer could/would do any good?

You installed the software, read the Help file and learn how to use it.

If you don’t want the browser protection advising you that sites are dangerous, remove it.

You should have used a Custom install.

If you are constantly seeing warnings that sites are unsafe then you might like to change your browsing habits … the warnings are generated by low reputation sites , ones that are dangerous … porn, torrents, illegal software downloads and the like.

It is pointless trying to speculate what the issue is as we have zero information.

Unless the Original Poster (OP) expresses a desire to be helped and provides more information, then we can’t help, so we should wait for a response form the OP.

I think that …

"This Connection is Untrusted" is displayed on every F****** web site I go to

makes it pretty obvious what is happening.

Not really, as we don’t even know what avast version she is using, though we could speculate as this has been seen with AIS firewall depending on settings. But as I said this is speculation not fact and this topic just gets longer, we can only help those that seek help.

If it’s obvious then why are you telling her about sites being unsafe when she said the connection is unsafe

I’m not telling her anything of the sort (so your quote appears out of context) - other than to give more information so we can even try to help.

As I have said until the OP contributes, other posts are pretty pointless - help is a two way street - we need feedback to be able to help. Given the OPs post it doesn’t look like she wants help, just litigation.

I didn’t quote you David… I quoted Adrian. Adrian quoted you, I quoted Adrian quoting/responding to you

It is possible to snip the unrelated quotes when you have multiple nested quotes, only showing what is relevant.
