Hi. My laptop has just stopped connecting to the internet, it has no working CD drive, and I have no memory sticks. I wanted to download your antivirus to it as I cannot transfer the program at present. I got my wife’s fairly new laptop, still using Vista and connected it to the internet for the first time, and got connected to my email account. Wanted to access my avast! account but then forgot my password. When I clicked to get a reminder, I was told my email address is not registered with avast!, despite being a customer of yours for some time and just renewed my subscription to 25/4/14!!
How on earth do I recover my password when avast! don’t seem to know what my email is? Once I get that, how do I get my avast! software onto this PC?
I am astonished to find that this has not recceived any response. it is a real problem that has just struck me as well. I have used avast in the past, without that bothersome ‘30 days remaining’ bar. which is to say i have paid for the damned thing. now i get told I am not registered. to say I’m not happy is an understatement. Kindly provide some clarity to this nonsense. and if nothing else, get us an option to simply and efficiently -send an email- to the support team. much easier than the system currently in place, that allows for certain particular types of problem and nothing else. brainless.
