It will create a log (FSS.txt) in the same directory the tool is run.
Please copy and paste the log to your reply.
Ok I’m on it. Ran it once but I wasn’t connected to the Internet. Wasn’t sure if I needed to be so I’m running it again connected to the LAN. I can’t get connected to my wireless any longer. Not sure what’s going on there. Will upload the OTL logs once it’s done.
here is the file from the quick scan. running combofix next. disconnecting from the internet for that one.
combofix ran. here is that log. machine seems to be running back to normal. not getting this weird fax service not working pop up any longer and avast seems happy. i will report back after i run FSS.
FSS ran.
I see that FSS was run from D but windows is on C and is thereby giving false results. Could you run FSS from C please
my user directory is on D. i copied the program into the root of c: but it returns the same result.
Edit: removed log

dnsrslvr.dll
mpssvc.dll
bfe.dll
mpsdrv.sys
SDRSVC.dll
vssvc.exe
wscsvc.dll
WMIsvc.dll
wuaueng.dll
