Do you have another AV installed ... Mackeeper?
MacKeeper is a utility software suite for Mac OS X. It is heavily promoted and has been the subject of a class-action lawsuit for false advertising.[1][2] Some reviewers say that MacKeeper secures and optimizes a system, while others say that crash-prone Macs can be cured by removing MacKeeper.[3][4]
Hi, thanks for coming back. I hadn’t realised I had any MacKeeper stuff on my MAC. I have attached a screen sot as suggested. Was I right to simply delete all these files?
Hello,
this certainly looks as a bug. Could you please attach us a scan report log that can be found at ~/Library/Application Support/Avast/ScanLogs/ ?
Each scan report displayed in product is stored in a file AVScanLog-*.data in $HOME/Library/Application Support/Avast/ScanLogs folder. Since this bug is specifique to your findings, it would help me a lot if I could load the report and inspect the product behavior with a debugger.
Well, it found 1 infection (Lemming-2146) and it is in /Users/shared/infected/swapfile10
There were 230 files unable to scan but still no files or folder AVScanlog…
Well, I meant, for any scan you make there is created a report file. If you open Finder, press CMD+SHIFT+G and type ~/Library/Application Support/Avast/ScanLogs, there should be opened a folder containing them. Could you please send me it to krahulik@avast.com, so I can analyze it?
