My forum is being errorneously marked unsafe

Hi,

Just starting today, my Avast all of a sudden started blocking my forum with a message that says HTML:Script-inf [susp]. I know this is a false positive because I own/made the forum, which is hosted by proboards. hxxps://freemart.freeforums.net is the URL. I googled HTML:Script-inf [susp] and found similar reports. Even though I know my forum doesn’t have any malware, to give the benefit of the doubt, I ran this scan, which shows clean: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/url/623fc26b5d97fbe7d85ec395520458dfad0917678adb2c67b4663cd62531d77f?nocache=1

I need Avast to fix this false alert/block because this is scaring people away from my forum, but Avast makes it really hard to contact them. I can’t find a single place where I can contact them for this issue. Also, my Avast doesn’t give any automated option to report false positive.

Hi, you can report a suspected FP (File/Website) here: https://www.avast.com/false-positive-file-form.php

Lots of outdates software reported here - https://awesometechstack.com/analysis/website/freemart.freeforums.net/ - this could lead to exploitation.

Some vulnerabilities reported here - https://snyk.io/test/website-scanner/?test=220508_AiDcJM_7XY&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=webpagetest&utm_campaign=website-scanner - could be related to the previous check.

Thank you for the link. I’ll try that.

Thank you for the info and your insight. I’m guessing there is nothing I can do about these since the forum was built with proboards’ system/tools?

You’re welcome.

Its a very long time since I did my own websites, but the Host for your site may be responsible for the underlying software.

I have no idea if your forum software would handle the reported out of date software such as JQuery, etc.

These issues should be put to your Host and Forum provider.

You’re welcome.
