What’s suspicious? And I removed a WinLogon notifier that has a missing file which I believe is vundo and the .dll file is removed long ago but the registry entry is still there and will it affect my windows pc starting up?

And what is “WormRadar?”.

While I visited the wormradar website, I do not like the fact that it is hard to leave as the site does not want you to leave. Below is a link to some information on how wormradar works and why it exists. Perhaps you downloaded it in the past and have forgotten?

http://www.infosecwriters.com/hhworld/hh10/The%20Role%20of%20a%20Distributed%20Honeypot%20in%20a%20Post.htm

Since there appears to be no file association, maybe you also deleted it sometime in the past?

O2 - BHO: WormRadar.com IESiteBlocker.NavFilter - {3CA2F312-6F6E-4B53-A66E-4E65E497C8C0} - (no file)

The below has no name and no file association so I would guess this may be related to the above? But, maybe not.

O3 - Toolbar: (no name) - {0BF43445-2F28-4351-9252-17FE6E806AA0} - (no file)

I can not find much on the next one but it does not look good to me :

O20 - Winlogon Notify: cbxyyxy - cbxyyxy.dll (file missing)

The above could be related to a trojan but I can not be sure from lack of information.

That is about all I can see in your HJT but I am no expert. It would be better to wait for confirmation from someone more experienced than me.

I really don’t know how it got there… Is it ok to remove?

And it says no file so it’s useless. I ran another HijackThis scan, yay! Vundo didn’t regenerate!

The fact that it says no file isn’t 100% as some malware hides its files whilst the registry entry isn’t hidden.

Do a system search for cbxyyxy.dll if that is the one you mean by no file.

  • Ensure that you have hidden files and folders enabled and disable hide system files in Windows Explorer, Tools, Folder Options, Hidden files and folders, see image.

No cbxyyxy.dll in my system32 folder and I searched the internet and if it exists it should be in the system32 folder. I’m running another search now.

I wouldn’t take as gospel the location based on searches as the file is just as easy to run from a different location.

If it is gone great, it would have been nice to get a sample for avast.

It’s gone… Yes! I don’t have to worry now.

Yes things look good now.
