my humble suggestion(s)

not sure if it’s duplicated, but anyway I’ll write what I feel that are needed in thr future version.

first off, this is SUCH A decent program to use with - I must admit. with real-time action and although spending some/much of system resources, it’s still a must-have addon to my pc.

However, there have been some things that can improve the usability of the avast (well, at least in my opinion)

most of us will scan for the presents of the virus while away from the computer - which means, when I’m away for lunch or even overnight. but I figure the avast will react WHENEVER it comes across the virus and stops scanning. obviously this is highly inconvenient for most of users because people (including me) don’t want to sit in front of the computer while scanning.

well, some could say that they do what they need to do and scan their computer in the mean time. but I don’t use up-to-date machine, so are many. using the computers while scanning for virus dramatically reduces the performance of PCs and often becomes the pain in the ass.

therefore, what I suggest is showing the list of virus upon completing the scan and letting users to choose what to do later. this way, people don’t have to sit there while looking at the monitor to see what comes up next.

well… I apparently had few more things to write, but while writing down this post I forgot all of them (what a small memory I have… time to upgrade. huh?) thanx to whoever read this post, and wish to see it coming.

ciao.

Good idea for both boot time scans & on-demand scans.

This is in the Pro version for on-demand scans, so if you want it I’m afraid you will have to buy the Pro version, this is one of the few things not in the Home free version, unlike some other free AVs that are function crippled unlike avast that with the exception of the script blocker (in the pro version only) it has all the other protection functionality. There have to be differences in the home/pro.

You can use the advanced option when you set up the boot-time schedule to send all detections to the chest and If you want to go further allow the deletion or moving of files in system folders (can have serious consequences, so perhaps a step too far).
