Have latest update to Avast! Free Antivirus, all installed just fine and all seems to be working just fine, excepty for a Scheduled Quick Scan that is presently running and showing “0%” scanned and has been running for over half an hour. 320 gig H/D and with Avast! opened or just the small box the percentage never changes with this version. Have run a full scan and that worked just fine. It is presently on the last partition and still shows “0%”, almost completed.
P.S. Scan just completed and the announcement made of “Scan has completed” with the “0%” shown to completion nor the bar that shows the progress never changed.
Have downloaded a fresh copy and am going to go offline to uninstall and reinstall this new copy. My last version was 8.0.1486 or something like that , have always kept it updated as new versions are presented. The copy presently installed was done by just over writing the previous version. It could have gotten screwed at that time. A fresh copy and an uninstall may solve this issue, it looks as though I am the only one with this problem. Will get back with you after this work is done. ASWClean-Up and reinstall fresh download did the TRICK. All seems normal now, have not been able to fully check everything but the Quick Scan is now displaying the “%” and the Full Scan is still doing the correct “%” display, have not done a full scan as yet. That takes over an hour to complete, will do it later.
Wish to thank all that have posted to my issue and to let all know, thingys are working normal again.
