Good day,
you would remember my first post ‘‘symbian supported’’.
The police have arrested the phone holder and his accomplice who would both be in court tomorrow 19/03/2012.
My phone is currently in possession of the Police.

Now to THEFTAWARE defect observed:

  1. The locate command ie ****** LOCATE when sent always return ‘‘Theft Aware(www.theftaware.com) ERROR: The command is invalid’’.

The 2 aspects that worked for me were:

  1. The sim card change notification, which was frequently returning this notice because I observed on the phone that the sim card was having partial contact in its slot. So each time there was full contact I receive a sim card change notification complete with IMSI, IMEI, Location…
  2. The call command ie ****** CALL was also functional I could eavesdrop on the phone.

Back to the locate command could anyone give me the new format or syntax for this command if its different from the format above.

I’m glad you got your phone back!

For symbian the command to get the current location is

xxxxxx update

“locate” is only used in the android version.

I tried ****** UPDATE, but it was returning the last known location not the current location of the phone?
What to do?
Also where can I find the complete list of commands for SYMBIAN ANTITHEFT.
