My password for this forum

I logged on to this forum today having not done so for a very long time. My username and password worked just fine.

However, I wish to change something in my profile which requires my password and verification of it to be entered. When I enter my password, it is not accepted telling me it has to be 8 digits or more. Well it is not it is seven digits. I was allowed to log on with a seven digit password, so have you changed the rules in the time I have been absent from the forum.

I could not find anywhere on the forum to PM an Admin or Mod about this, so I am hoping for a reply here.

The change I want to make is the capital T in my username - this should be a small case t as on all forums I frequent, I am known as tallin. Perhaps Admin or Mod can change that for me as I can’t get into my profile to change it because of the above issue.

Edit: I did a little more research and was able to change the T for a t without any trouble at all.

If you mean the display name I believe you have to have a minimum of 20 posts for most settings. If its the actual account name I dont think thats possible at all other than making a new forum account.

It is not a smart thing to have username/password on multiple sites the same.
It is also not a smart thing to do to post that you have the same username on multiple boards.

@ Eddy - I did not say I have the same password on multiple sites.

Goodness, I know many well known volunteers on many forums that have the same username. They are even MVP’S. They are known for their marvelous work on forums and always use the same Username. Have you heard of Corrine, LDTate, Little Eagle, TomK, Digerati, 2xg? I could go on and on.

@ Cast, I think it is one of the rules on most forums that you can only have one account and for me that is all I want.

I’m one of those with the same user name in many places. :slight_smile: (Not the same password…)
You can not change your user name but,

Once you’ve reached your 20 post’s, you can change your Name which is what will be displayed
on the forum.

Read the edit in my first post here, I already found a way to change the T to a t with no problem at all. ::slight_smile:
