What is your protection and what do you think about my pc protection? ;D

I’m not a fan of the boclean I tried it some time ago and it looked very windows 95 and it didn’t get a particularly good review in one of the enewsletters I get, Gizmo I think.

Some rate spybot S&D but I took it off my system some time ago as it was becoming dated plus it never seemed to pick up anything on my system, which to be honest I would be surprised if it did other than cookies, etc.

Firefox (2.0.0.6) I think is a good browser but if you haven’t got the NoScript and CookieSafe extensions installed you may still bump into something that goes bang in the night.

Comodo firewall pro is fine and generally works well with avast.

See my signature for the major ones I use, there are others you could try, the main thing is not to have two resident anti-spyware scanners installed at the same time in much the same way you shouldn’t have two resident AVs installed.

If you haven’t already got this software (freeware).

  1. If using winXP AVG anti-spyware (formerly Ewido) Resident scanner during trial On-Demand after trial ends. Or SUPERantispyware On-Demand only in free version. Or Spyware Terminator Resident scanner.
  2. Ad-Aware SE Personal Edition
  3. Spywareblaster Don’t install this until you are clean.

Thanks for information :slight_smile: i install spywareblaster and cookie safe extension and i uninstalled boclean only.i trust avast already.

I would say that you need something a little stronger than Spywareblaster which is passive (immunisation) protection if you uninstall boclean you need to consider a reasonable strong anti-spyware (AS). Any of the ones in my first software note 1. resident would mean Spyware Terminator.

Though I personally don’t use a resident AS, I just use avg-as as an on-demand scan, that is because of my other measures, on-demand scanners, dropmyrights and my back-up and recovery strategy should I catch cold, not so far.
