my question involves the use of avast w/ use of other similar files/progs/apps

i’m about to install malwarebytes_AM & spybot S&D 1.62 because those apps helped
much BITD… so thats critical resources to consider. though, i was wondering if
mutiple security apps wouldnt interfere/conflict with avast in any way? unless each
AV prog is equipped with systems to help recognize fellow security apps to disregard
each other?

Please, no Spybot S&D. And definitely not with the TeaTimer realtime junk. MBAM is just fine wrt compatibility and actually useful, which cannnot by said about Spybot at all.

I’m the oddball I use SpyBot but with “no” teatimer or resident shields. I use SpyBot as a stand alone on-demand scanner. You might try Super Anti-Spyware (SAS) http://filehippo.com/download_superantispyware/ :slight_smile:
