My suggestion to avast!

I am hoping in the next version the sandbox will improve… I wish avast would just deny all the *unknown instead of using heuristics… I don’t know any one else’s feelings against this review but this was pretty freaking horrendous. Not one alert from sandbox not one…

No… This wouldn’t happen. This is full deny policy and avast won’t follow it.

Well hopefully they will improve something on the next version :o i was surprised on how poor it did… i did not believe the test until i did my own test and got the same results.

Well, what’s been tested? The tester is a Comodoish thinker. Read more in that link about Comodo & avast policies.

Well i tested it as well and came up with the same results on different malware. What does his tests have to do with comodo??? i tested it to and it failed does this mean i like comodo??? N0 i hate comodo.

Listen the test and you’ll listen how many times it compares avast with Comodo…

The heuristics that Avast! is using for the AutoSandbox is just on a starting line now. The data that is automatically send back to Avast ! from the community is used to improve the heuristics. And those new heuristics will be provided with the VPS updates. So it is improving every day

Well i hope avast takes it into consideration considering their are alot more tests out their showing it’s sandbox failing.

How much more links do you want i got more.

Did you READ my previous post ???

The developers told us it needs 30 - 60 days to become fully effective.

‘The developers told us it needs 30 - 60 days to become fully effective.’

you did not state that in your first post above you never said 30 to 60 days

The sandbox (on demand) was not bypassed yet.
We’re talking the new AutoSandboxing feature (on access).
If you want to sandbox any unknown files and a lot of clean files as well, use Comodo Internet Security.

I told you the heuristics is on a starting line now, and how it will improve. Did I ???

Comodo Internet Security is cheaply made and so is the CEO.

Well, we are going off-topic now, but I currently think I don’t like Melih ( Comodo’s CEO ) either. That said, in my opinion Comodo still provides a good free firewall

It looks like he is running IE8 or an earlier version.

  1. Why would anyone test anything today using IE8? Better yet why is anyone still using IE8 which is total garbage?

  2. Why would you open an downloads on download? This is stupid.

  3. Also why is he downloading stuff from those garbage websites?

I suggest the tester change to Firefox or IE9 RC and learn that when you download a file you save it to a some place safe so that you can see what is downloaded before you run it.

This has to be one of the worst tests evah

He is testing Security hence the reason why he uses IE8… it’s the most exploited browser. if he were to use FF their would be no point in the test… BTW most regular people use IE not knowing the dangers.
