Hello recently my old Anti-Virus ran out so I’ve decided to try out avast, and my website has been blocked and detected as “malware” which I know is not true, my website is a business and getting people there is EXTREMELY important to me and Co-Owners of the website. Who do I contact to get my website checked out and unblocked from this malware list?
and what is the problem URL ?
Infection: URL:Mal
the URL /link to your website.
comodo say suspicious

In addition to Pondus’ request for the URL so it can be checked, how do you know for sure that there is not malware on your website? Do you know how to read the website code and recognize malware code?
In today’s world of the Internet and websites, there are far too many infected websites without the owner nor the webmaster knowing about the infection.
Since you had another AV previously, what was the AV & how was it removed before installing Avast, or for that matter, installing any other AV afterwards?
you may report false positive here.
I had AVG Internet Security 2011, and yes I’m a web designer and coder for Javascript, HTML, C++, Visual Basic, etc…
I know about forum intrusion and defacing websites, I’ve looked all through my website and so has my Web developer, maybe I’m overlooking something, if you guys find anything please tell me so I can delete it.
Thanks!
Oh and yes, I removed AVG Internet Security 2011 by uninstall programs via Control Panel > Uninstall a Program.
And thank you Pondus for the link.
And thank you Pondus for the link.here are some more nice to have in your work. ;)

Using “Uninstall a Program” is not enough. Too much is left behind that will interfer with the next installed AV.
You must also use the uninstaller for AVG which you can get from the AVG website for your version.
The incomplete removal of an AV can cause such problems.
I also ran your website through Anubis and got these results all of which are not good:
*Performs File Modification and Destruction: The executable modifies and destructs files which are not temporary.
*Changes security settings of Internet Explorer: This system alteration could seriously affect safely surfing the World Wide Web.
*Performs Registry Activities: The executable creates and/or modifies registry entries.
You can also run your website URL, or any other URL, through Anubis at this address:

@charley
try running avast.com at anubis.
@Pondus - yeah, I know … tried that before.
But, that is why I included “The incomplete removal of an AV can cause such problems.”
Perhaps I should have added that at the end.
To remove the remainders of AVG Click on this link, find [02] AVG AV and follow their instructions.
I checked all those websites you gave me for Malware or anything else, nothing popped up, would really appreciate it if this problem was solved, I filed a report on it, thanks
Hi Stewart,

There was unknown html malware found, there for half an hour of activity but this has been closed on 2012-07-09 at 02:32:35

Thank you, but what can I do about this?
If you have not already done so, you first need to use the AVG ininstaller I mentioned and to which Bob gave the link.
As I also mentioned before, the remains of AVG could be causing at least part of the problem.
I’ve completely uninstalled AVG… But I’m still getting a “threat detection” on my website and I cannot find any threat on it whatsoever. :o
could you attach a screenshot of the avast warning
