Well the account appears to be updating fine as the image shows Last Communication: 16 minutes ago.
@ UserA789
I don’t know if this was a communication hiccup, presumably not given what I said above (unless the two images were not taken at the same time).
Do you happen to have any shields (or other modules, self-defence, etc.) disabled, but not monitored in the avastUI, Settings, Status Bar ?
That is a possible as these wouldn’t show up in the avastUI, but I don’t know if that would be reflected in the avast account information. If you haven’t any intentionally disabled shields/modules this may just be an unexplained hiccup. You could try Disconnecting from the account in the avastUI, Settings, Account and reconnect and see if that resolves it when it next reports status.
I disconnected and restarted before even posting but again after… still same thing. I did get it to go back to SECURED but I had to run a virus quick scan; which would make sense since frequent scanning keeps one safe but at the same time, either we need to be able to tell MyAvast! what things to report on or have a more complete report.
Could the need of running a scan be the reason? If yes, then I think it would be nice to have more control of what is reported to MyAvast! and such from the end user side. IE disable reporting (on virus scan history) if ‘no recent scan was found’…
If not… I think you should have the servers hold their breath and count to ten… but in Pi root and squared enumerators.
I’m not aware of a requirement for frequent scans, some don’t do any given that a resident scanner will scan active files, whilst for the most part on-demand scans will be scanning a lot of dormant files.
I have a Quick scan scheduled weekly as part of my routine maintenance, more out of habit than anything else.
