MySpaceIM error message

I have been getting this “sh.loader” error whenever I start MySpaceIM. It’s been happening for about a week with no issues. However, just recently I have been unable to use the program. This lead me to search the internet for possible solutions too the problem - which has led me here.

Be aware that this is all really new to me and anything that I mention here are things that I have learned over the passed hour and an half.

Current Problems:

 1. My computer hates me and so it enjoys shutting itself down whenever I try to watch an online video or anything that would normally not be a problem for this computer. It’s like it is trying to tell me that I’m working it too hard.
 2. Google hates me so whatever this is is redirecting me to other sites than where I am trying to get to when I click on a link.
 3. System Restore only likes me until I try to hit “NEXT” to begin the restore process - then it doesn’t go any farther than that.
 4. MySpaceIM doesn’t work. But I told you that already.
 5. I have found that rollover links don’t seem to work for me on certain sites. For instance, the “POST” button that I see below this message will work just fine, but on other sites the links react like the “NEXT” button on my System Restore (ie., my mouse can roll over it, but when I click on it nothing happens. I go nowhere).

I downloaded and installed Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. I ran it and found 51 infected files. This was good news because at least I knew that I had things to fix… lots of them. However, my computer has decided that it REALLY doesn’t like MBAM, so it shut off when the scan was completed one hour later and now it shuts off when I try to start up MBAM, so I can’t even check the log to see what it may have picked up so I can delete them manually if at all possible.

Then I ran HiJackThis. It’s all 1’s and 0’s to me so I’m putting it below so those with knowledge about these kinds of things can look at it and tell me what is up.

Like I said, this is all very new to me and my computer skills are limited to turning it on. I tell you this so that you can format your responses accordingly.

I thank you ahead of time for any advice that you can offer me concerning this matter.

I have attached the HiJackThis Log too this message… how do you delete posts because I don’t need the other ones below this one? I didn’t know that I could attach files so I had to make the extra posts… sorry about that. I understand that it’s bad form.

See above for reason why this message has been deleted. Again, I am really sorry about this. I dislike not knowing how to properly work new forums. But now I know.

deleted because it’s not needed… uploaded HiJackThis file too first message.

Same as above.

-= Advice:

b Antivirus and Antimalware
I suggest that you install an antivirus software to protect your PC from threats… I recommend avast!: Avast Website
Another good pair of avast is Malwarebytes Antimalware… Please consider installing both…

b Firewall
You are using Windows XP Firewall… XP’s Firewall does not provide Outbound protection… Enhance our protection by installing a firewall with Outbound Protection… Examples are:

 PCTools, Agnitum Outpost, Online Armor

b Service Pack
You are using Windows XP Service Pack 2… A newer service pack [SP3] is available for download at Microsoft Update… You should consider upgrading your service pack as early as possible to optimize your PC’s performance & protection…

-= Findings:

b You seem to have a lot of spywares & trojans… This can be a result of having no antivirus scanner… Consider installing one…

(d) O4 - HKLM..\Run: [WildTangent CDA] “C:\Program Files\WildTangent\Apps\CDA\GameDrvr.exe” /startup “C:\Program Files\WildTangent\Apps\CDA\cdaEngine0500.dll”

b Suspicious files:
I suggest that you submit this files to VirusTotal

(a) O4 - HKCU..\Run: [c3e285a6.exe] C:\Documents and Settings\Eric Trott\Local Settings\Application Datac3e285a6.exe

(b) O4 - HKCU..\Run: [YahooWidgetEngine.exe] “C:\Program Files\Transform XP to Vista\Yahoo! Widgets\WidgetsYahooWidgetEngine.exe”

(c) O4 - HKLM..\Run: [c3e285a6.exe] C:\WINDOWS\system32c3e285a6.exe

 • I have no intentions to meddle up with your decisions but, Transformation Packs can make your PC slow & it modifies certain System Files…

b For the unnecessarily deactivated entries… Those are too many to enumerate… To make it easier to locate those, I suggest that you install CCleaner and use registry cleaner to fix those entries…

-= Verdict
Please install Avast & Malwarebytes [links are provided above]… Don’t forget to update both then run a scan… For avast, I suggest a boot time scan [Boot Time is accessible via double click on avast icon on desktop → “splash screen appears”, in case something is detected, select move to chest → When a media player like thing appears, hover to the upperleft downward arrow to reveal a dropdown list… → Click Schedule Boot Time Scan → Select all Harddrives & Check the “Test Archives” checkbox → Click Schedule → Restart your PC… A scan should be initiated after the Windows XP boot progress appears…
After the scan, consider running a Full scan with Malwarebytes Antimalware… Please post the results in this topic…
