NAT Settings

Hello, before i get to my problem ill admit it is off topic, but I need expert help.

I just recently purchased a new videogame for my xbox 360 console. The game is online compatable so you will be able to play with other people. But when I go to log on, i keep getting NAT errors that are saying, your NAT settings are set to strict and to change them. But i have absolutely no idea how to do this besides installing my router all over again.

You probably have to open up a port in your router. Which router and which game are we talking about ?

My router is a Netgear Wireless Router, the model number is WGR614 v6, and the game is halo 3. It told me to go to a help support page, but the only thing it says is to consult my routers documentation, which I do not have.

For something like this it would be better on the General Forum and not the avast 4 home/pro, something to note for the future.

Usually, documentation for such things is available through the website. Check there for more information. Try viewing the Data Sheet from the link at the right of the page. Perhaps the info needed is there.

Well from what i’ve read from the above link, you only need to enable uPnP in your router. The ports should then be automatically assigned to your xbox 360.
