Personally I would be wary of using any of these as they are almost a year old and that would be for firefox 2.0 or possibly 2.5. Since we are using firefox 3.0.1 I don’t know if these values might already be incorporated in some way.
So first I would suggest opening about:config and using the filter window type network.http this should show what settings exist and what their values and if they are integers or boolean. Then do the same for the other items, e.g. content.
As a general rule of thumb, True, False are boolean values and numbers are Integers you don’t have any in your list that are Strings.
Hi, I found a thing by someone on here, Polonus or Bob360 I think (Sorry if I'm wrong)
The author is polonus I'm hosting it on my server:
http://mysharedfiles.no-ip.org/FirefoxSpeedup/FirefoxSpeedup.html
I would suggest that we wait for polonus to comment as it it's effectiveness for the latest version of Firefox.
No, not wishing to put words into Alan’s mouth, he is talking about firefox user profiles.
They usually live here C:\Documents and SettingsYourUserName\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles, it will most likely be the default profile that is the one.
After uninstalling Firefox you could completely remove the Mozilla folder and really start afresh.
