Need Assistance: My Website is mis-labeled as Threat: URL:Phishing.

Hey Avast Community,

Thank you for your assistance with this website. I’m a Paramedic Educator who runs an online prep course for EMTs & Paramedics. Recently, some students have been saying that when they go to access our website it comes up as Threat: URL:Phishing.

Please remove this from your list, this is affecting my business, and the students who are trying to learn in the course.

I have ran a scan here and everything comes back clean.

Everything comes back clean, my website & domain are secure and the website has been operating for months with no issues.

Avast support, please remove this “false-positive” for Threat: URL:Phishing. My students and I thank you.

I’ve also attached the screenshot of the website and what it appears under avast.

Thank you.

Here is the link to the website. hxtps://www.prepareforems.com

Whilst in this scan it is considered a low risk - https://sitecheck.sucuri.net/results/prepareforems.com - there are some Hardening Improvements suggested.

You might also consider some of the points here - https://webhint.io/scanner/9e84873e-0d48-4173-847b-8e43475c597e - especially the security hints.

Whilst these may or may not be a possible cause, you can contact the Avast Virus Labs using this form - Reporting Possible False Positive File or Website - https://www.avast.com/false-positive-file-form.php.

Thanks David, I placed the support ticket today for the false-positive the website is operated by ClickFunnels, which millions of people use their website builder, so it should be set. Hopefully I’ll here back today so I can get the website back up for my students.

Thank you for the fast reply. Does Avast reply here, I’ve seen them take people off the list directly from this forum?

I believe (if memory servers me well) that ClickFunnels has appeared in some posts, in that they use obfuscations/redirections. Is that right ?

If so that could be why the issue of possible URL Phishing crops up.

As far as responding in the forums, on occasion they may, but even they recommend using the Link I gave as that goes directly to the Virus Labs. Rather than hope someone from the team sees it in the forums.

Hey thanks for the replay again. I’ve never heard of that on ClickFunnels, I’ve had websites there for years with no problems. I’ve placed the support ticket today, hopefully they fix it soon. Thanks for the support here.

You’re welcome.

This is one of the topics I recall about ClickFunnels https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=238432.0 also see Reply #7.

Thank you David, that was a great thread, it looks like this should be cleared up shortly by the Avast Team. Thanks for your attention.

Glad I could help.

Though I would recommend that you report it using the link I gave in Reply #2 if you haven’t already done so.

Yes I have reported it yesterday my friend.

Avast Team,

Placed a support ticket several days ago about a false-positive on the Avast Software, still no email response or action from the team here. Can you please reach out and fix this issue, this is negatively effecting my students.

Thank you.

Unfortunately as an Avast User, I’m limited on what I can do.

I see that it’s been reported to the moderators. Maybe that will help come Monday morning.

Yes that is all I can do for now

Hello,
thank you for notice. The domain was unblocked.
