I have been using Avast Internet security as my antivirus and security app on my PC running windows 10, Just recently I find some strange or suspicious things like the start menu appearing nothing only the last two buttons appears that is to turn off and one is to change profile. Today when I finish a media player app suddenly theres a notification of errors about this app and then when I see in the tray bar avast icon appearing as inactive, I click on to open the Avast program and what I see is that the Avast just appear as a free trial app again and that Im not registered and the version is not Internet security anymore. Then I restart Pc and after that I check again Avast icon now appear again as my version of Internet security but inside when I open the setting to see the components, I see that some features like web shield, file shield and email shield is off and could not be turn on . I check on the windows defender internal security app and what I see is that windows defendef is now running and avast is off which is unusual because when Avast is install it should be the antivirus and security by default. Then I restart again the Pc and after that I saw that the Avast now come back again as the primary and default security program with windows defender is off.
What I want to know is what has been happening to my PC and Avast program? Is that any virus or malware etc inside ? When I scan with smart scan Avast, there are no viruses, but my start screen still getting this blank problem, please provide me with some helps and supports immediately. Thanks.
