Need Help checking my computer please win32 infection?

Hello all.

I logged onto my computer this afternoon and it said malware detected, big scary red box. It asked me if I wanted to do a bootup scan and I did.

It came up with two infections and these are where they were I am assuming

C:ProgramData\Pure Networks\Setup\PlatformSetupInstaller_0.msi|>Platforminstaller.cab|>f_opswat_fwCOM.D55E3442_9503_4681_8731_43F5DD636EAA|>[UPX]

and

C:\Windows\Installer\bfda3.msi|>PlatformInstaller.cab|>fopswat_fwCOM.D55E442_9503_4681_8731_4F5DD636EAA|>[UPX]

I moved them to the chest.

I am not very computer literate, if my computer starts going wonky I tend to reformat. However, this is a new computer, and I would rather not do that as I killed my external the last time, and it was rather old and I have’t replaced it yet.

So I am just wondering what I need to do now with my computer?

ANy help would be greatly appreciated

Note: I have not had the big doomy red box of doom again on the two reboots.

Note 2: I am working on getting the logs going now. Though it may take a li’l while as I have just been asked to go out for a little while. I should have done the logs sooner, I didn’t realize it.

I think I got all the attachments that were needed for the logs

I am also uploading a picture

This shows the last time the file was modified was in 2008…

I’m confused.

Hi that appears to be a false positive. How is the computer behaving ?

It’s working absolutely fine.

I just… kinda freaked when I saw the doomy red box

Should I restore those two items from the chest, or just leave them where they are?

Also thank you for taking a look

Scan them again in the chest by right clicking, if they come up good then restore them. If they do not then right click the files and select send to virus labs. Mark as false positives

Sent in and thank you again
