i have a windows XP SP2 system. My hard disk has 4 partitions . I think i have virus attack.
In the my computer window, when i try to open the partisions, a window opens telling me to choose the program for opening. Also when right clicked on any of the drive, first two item of the pop up menu has its language changed. I am using norton antivirus 2007 with the latest virus definitions update but it does not detect any virus or anything. My C: drive is not infected which can be deduced by the popup menu when right clicked on it. The menu is perfectly normal and i can access it. But the other three drives popup menu has the first two item’s language changed and i cannot open them to access files from ‘my computer’.
And why are you on avast forums?
It’s a pity that you are yet with NAV…
Just a hint, maybe it’s not a virus, but a wrong registry key…
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer\NoDriveTypeAutoRun
Change the value 145 for 153…
You’ll kiss me if I’m right… 8)
