I need help in getting new license. Avast has been running for some time, and told me license would expire soon. I followed link and re-registered for new license. Have done this several times, still no email with new license key. This is for Avast 4 home. Using Windows XP, outlook and I looked in junk email file to see if it got sent there. Nothing. Do you have any idea what I am doing wrong>
Well it is usually down to anti-spam filters as you say you have checked the Junk Mail folder, it may not have even got that far if your ISP or email provider has an email filter.
What was the domain name of the email address after the @ symbol ?
Try registering again using a different email address ensure that register @ avast.com (without the spaces) or avast.com is in your or ISP white list.
Last key for your wXXXw@XXearXXXe.net e-mail address (the one from your forum profile) was generated and sent on Mar/11/2007 18:35:38, then it was sent after each attempt to register again. Please check anti-spam settings of your mail server or try to use different (valid) e-mail address for registration.
The address after the @ sign was “clearwire.net”
I was not aware that they had a antispam filter, but will check into it.
Thankyou for your help.
I found out that Clearwire.net does have a spam filter, but it was off. I specifically entered register@avast.com and support@avast.com as allowed email addresses. I tried regiestering again and we will see what happens.
Personally I would have gone for a yahoo address just to confirm one way or another if it arrives at the yahoo address then that would tend to confirm blocking.
iI was able to get a new license by creating a yahoo email account. Thankyou for you help.
Your welcome, now you just need to find out why avast.com was blocked.
A belated welcome to the forums.
