I tried the trial version of the Avast Internet Security, the paid version. When the trial was over, I switched everything back to the free version with no problems. But the SafeZone Browser icon keeps coming back up on my desktop. I cannot get rid of it. I have tried the right click and delete, didn’t work. I have tried going into the file itself, but I cannot find it. Does anyone know how to fix this?
Try a repair of avast.
Control panel > software > avast > add/remove > choose repair

Well, that did not work. I still have the SafeZone Browser Icon coming up on my desktop…I tried the repair, and also tried uninstalling the components that I did not want, and restarted the computer each time but it just keeps coming back no matter what…
