I have Avast! 4 Home and when i right click on the A blue ball and try to start Avast! it give me a messages saying Storage Cannot be created for “Splash” task What do i do?

In the avast4.ini file there is a section called [Common].
There, change the value
Database=ODBC
to
Database=XML
Mostly concerning storage and databases problems may be related to the database drivers. It what I suggested do not work, you could download the drivers from www.microsoft.com/data
