Need Help Spyware driving me crazy

Help pls got spyware using avast and I tried it all and cannot get rip off this virus any solution.

Avast will not give you spyware. Download and run either spybotsd, adaware or msantispy. Also what is the virus you are talking about and where is it located on your computer. Please be more specific on your query

Adaware http://www.lavasoft.de/

Spybotsd http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/

Msantispy http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=321CD7A2-6A57-4C57-A8BD-DBF62EDA9671&displaylang=en

Are you saying the avast contains spyware or you were infected by spyware despite having avast?

avast is anti-virus software that also detects some adware and spyware. I suggest you install specialist adware/spyware detection as above.

If you haven’t already got this software (freeware), download, install, update and run it.

  1. Spywareblaster
  2. Download HijackThis.zip - HiJackThis Tutorial

For an on-line analysis - HiJackThis Log file - On-line Analysis
Ignore any 023 reference to avast processes, this is a hiccup in the HJT 1.99.1 (especially missing file entry for avast), if you need any help with any of the analysis let us know.

Blitzkrieg!

Run all of thes mothers and if there’s any spyware left on your system after that shake its hand and come back and tell us about it because it must be one SOB.

Ad-Aware: http://www.lavasoft.de/
Spybot Search & Destroy: http://www.safer-networking.org/en/download/
Webroot Spy Sweeper: http://www.download.com/Webroot-Spy-Sweeper/3000-8022_4-10373771.html

Yahoo! Anti-Spy: http://toolbar.yahoo.com/
X-Cleaner Free: http://www.xblock.com/download-freeware.php

When you’ve done that get SpywareBlaster to protect against spyware, and also Firefox which is a safer browser:

lavasoft

spywbblaster
and other that I cannot recall since last night. All of them detected the virus but not remove the virus. others antivirus that I have downloaded I have to pay it , but I can. tried hijack but I dont know which file I have to remove or fix.
Sorry my english

Are you using Windows XP?
Can you schedule a boot-time scanning?
Start avast! > Right click the skin > Schedule a boot-time scanning
Select for scanning archives.
Boot.

If you find a virus keeps coming back after you delete it, it’s most probably infected the System Restore folder, the best way to solve this is to disable System Restore, reboot your machine and then enable it again. After all, run a full avast! scanning. System Restore cannot be disabled on Windows 9x.
Enable/Disable System restore on Windows ME: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q264887
Enable/Disable System restore on Windows XP: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;[LN];310405

tech tks for the info, I did what you recomeded, but still the problem,it should be the system restore because is coming back after delete so should I give up and format the disk.

 There are 2 good & FREE programs that “specialize” in
removing trojans, worms, dialers, etc that you may want
to try :
1) A-squared : www.emsisoft.com/en/software/free
2) EWIDO : www.ewido.net/en

If you would be interested in having experts look at an
Ad-aware SE "Full System Scan", go to :
  http://castlecops.com/forum142.html .

NOTE : It is not wise to install & have "active"
SpywareBlaster IF spyware is on a machine.

Ewido and a squared are ok, but they are not as powerful as these two anti-Trojan programs:

TDS-3 (Download the definitions file and move to the program folder.)

http://tds.diamondcs.com.au/

and TrojanHunter

http://www.trojanhunter.com/

They both have a free trial, and will find Trojans that anti-virus programs miss.

If one of these can’t kill it, it really is a SOB.

You could try turning off system restore then restarting and once booted up turn on system restore again.
Turning off system restore and restarting will remove all restore files (including the virus within it) and hopefully clean anything there.
Just remember turn it on again after restart and then scan with avast and make sure the virus has gone.

Hope this helps
Cheers
Colin
