How do I disable the On-Access Scanner Message, it interferes with some very important programs, any help I can get as soon as possible would be greatly appreciated!
Well by not enabling it in the first place ;D
- Standard Shield > Customize > Advanced - ‘Show detailed info on performed actions’ this option is off by default, so it would appear you have been tweaking avast without knowing the effect it will have. This function is also on the Web Shield and Internet Mail providers so you should also check those.

Hi - I found that switch (and first thought it worked) but it doesn’t work > I still get all these messages piling up from the bottom even if the box is unchecked??

Then you need to check the other avast providers that also have this feature. As mentioned above it is also in the Web Shield and Internet Mail.
