My anti virus keeps popping up a “edow.exe” virus alert several times a day, which is starting to get annoying seeing that this has been going on for almost a month now without finding any answers online. Anti Virus never catches it on my computer when i scan the hard drive, I’ve ad aware and spyware searched my hard drive, turned off system restore, loaded in safe mode, ran my anti virus, rebooted and turned my system restore back on, nothing has been able to fix this problem…i feel that it’s something on my computer trying to install it onto it. I’ve had my anti virus off the one day, and my firewall caught it (Sygate) stating that a “edow.exe is asking for permission and Do i want to allow this program to access the network?” and i said no. I can’t seem to figure this bastard out. Help!!
Click on the link in my signature and follow ALL steps there. That should remove it. Besides following those steps, please post the HijackThis log file here so we can have a look at it.
Thanks for the advice Artras, will try that again and post my hijack list…and whocares, i’ve already searched on google and did everything that it suggested, even looked for Wintools on my computer, made sure all hidden files were viewable, etc, but thanks for the advice
