I discovered the only way to use my printer (hardwired USB) into my Windows 11 PC is to disable the Avast Shields when printing…
and I couldn’t figure out where to go in the application to allow my printer through the shields?

Set the Avast Firewall to private/trusted mode/network and reboot.
