So I downloaded an emulator from a site that I probably shouldn’t have and now Avast is popping up with threats every few seconds with the name in the description. I’ve cleared everything I can from Programs and Features as well as my browsers. It’s still stuck in my registery and I can’t get it out. I could really use some help…
Download the attached file. Rename the file tcpip.reg and double click on it to start the merge into the registry.
Notice that you will have to do this as an Administrator or the merge will not work.
Reboot your system and report on the status of your computer then. Thanks.
All seems to be calm and quiet. Thanks so much for the help!

[*]Click Run
[*]The program will run for a few moments and then notepad will open with a log. Please paste the log in your next reply.
You can delete any log files left on your desktop as these are no longer needed.
I have the same issue as well, Avast pops up every few seconds with a message, ‘malware blocked’. I also upgraded to Win 10 in the meantime, no change. The process is usually win32.svchst but has been several others as well
Will the same fix be appropriate for me?
Thanks!!
Jim
