I posted yesterday about some trojan trouble I’m having when I try to uninstall AIM6. Spiritsongs recommended I try uninstalling with Revo Uninstaller. The warning to move the trojans to the chest still came up along with the other things I mentioned earlier but it did allow me to continue to the registry items it found leftover from AIM6. It lists a bunch of bolded leftover items to potentially check and delete but it notes to do so carefully. I have no idea which ones to check and don’t want to do something that will mess things up further. Can anyone give me any direction on what to check or should I just not go there?
Hi :
At this point, I ask IF you have used the various “Options” available at Revo’s
Support & help center at www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_support_help.html !? They have
“Frequently Asked Questions” , email support and links to various “topics”
on the right-hand side of the webpage .
Yes, I did read through the FAQs and support links at the Revo site but found nothing that spoke to my specific need. I haven’t yet contacted them. I thought I’d try here first. Guess I’ll go email them and see if they can help. I’ll check back here too - someone here must of done total uninstall of AIM at some point!
Since I don’t want to close out the registry info currently on my screen until I know what to do/not do, I don’t actually know if Revo has even been successful in uninstalling AIM. I still might be at square one. Here’s hoping!
