OR being able to either repair, update, uninstall etc…
Made the mistake some months back and “protected the Client” with a password on both of my computers. On the laptop (Vista) I didn’t have a problem however on my XP-DT the password comes back as WRONG therefore cannot update etc.
What to do to? either reset the password, eliminate it altogether, uninstall the program and re-install the new version and yes I do have the Free Avast.
Thanks for your help!
tried today about 5x and doesn’t work, can’t even find the remove button and then prompts me again for the password which is the same on my laptop but for some odd reason is not accepted on the DT.
HELP or any other suggestions.

Yes, I downloaded the uninstall tool, also the newest version, disconnected and then restarted in SAFE MODE and “opened” the downloaded avastclear.exe.
It self-extracted opened a few files, NO remove button though!
Any other suggestions?
Even though some of your HELPERS giving me advise, the issue hasn’t been resolved as of yet, PERIOD!
HOW DO I eliminate the constant “Password!” prompt?
I’m more than miffed at this point, free or paid Avast!
HELP!
Complaining without giving information as to what your actual problem is , doesn’t help you or us.
We aren’t mind readers and we aren’t sitting in front of your computer.
If you want help in fixing your problem, explain the problem and what you’ve tried to do in detail.
We would love to help but can’t without your cooperation.
hey, not being disrespectful, however my LP/Vista hasn’t updated since 3/27… so what gives?
Don’t even want to talk about my XP=DT as of yet.
Just help me uninstalling AVAST there! Everything I was prompted FAILED miserably.
