Ive deleted my old Avast 4.8 from my laptop, and i have been having trouble downloading the new Avast 5 free home edition.
I’ve now managed to download the file, but i can not see the
(setup_av_free.exe file to start the installation.
Can someone explain, im not very technical

Download only from the original site www.avast.com
When you’re asked to open or save the file, choose save and then the folder where you’ll save it.
Then, after the download finishes, double click the .exe file you’ve downloaded.
have u checked the destination folder in which ur browser downloaded avast. may be u checking another folder.
Just tried again to download again, now i’m getting a msg ( current security setting won’t allow download???
How do i change my security setting, my firewall and updates are both ON.
current security setting won't allow download???Is that the same with any download or only security programs ?
I haven’t had any problems downloading any Anti-virus in the past, not sure why im having sa a problem with the security setting on my laptop.
When i download the Avast 5 free edition it does not let me go further to install program???
